Festi Lumi 2026 – Call for Projects Open to All Designers

Created in 2014, this festival was born from the city of Bonifacio’s desire to showcase its Upper Town through ephemeral light installations. Over three nights, large-scale projections blend with more intimate experiments and local initiatives.
Light enhances the architectural heritage, transforms familiar spaces, surprises, inspires, and captivates thousands of visitors. Festi Lumi has become a vibrant platform for contemporary artistic expression in the field of light.

Festival Dates – 2026 Edition

The festival will take place over three evenings, from Thursday, July 2 to Saturday, July 4, 2026,
from nightfall until 1 a.m.

2026 Theme

The theme for this 11th edition will explore Sport, and more specifically Football.
This topic is expected to inspire at least one of the main video mappings. However, it is not mandatory — artists are welcome to propose alternative concepts, as long as they resonate strongly with the site and/or the history of Bonifacio.

Who Can Apply

This call for projects is open to all creative professionals, including:
artists, visual artists, lighting designers, videographers, architects, cinematographers, scenographers, designers, digital artists, directors, scientists, and more.

Expectations of the City of Bonifacio

The proposed light installations should be diverse, innovative, and surprising, forming part of an intuitive nighttime trail.
Visitors will be subtly guided while remaining free to explore and discover the artworks at their own pace.
The public is not merely a spectator — they may also become participants, interacting with certain pieces and revealing their own imagination in the process.

Call for Participation Timeline

• Opening of submissions: Friday, November 6, 2025
• Closing date: Monday, December 1, 2025
• Announcement of selected projects: Thursday, December 18, 2025

The festival is organized by Régis Clouzet, lighting designer and director of Agencelumière, who has overseen Festi Lumi for the past seven editions.
